NCRA EDUCATION
NCRA offers two education opportunities
throughout the year, Recycling Update and Introduction to Recycling.
The NCRA Education committee has appeared at the Bay Area Environmental
Education Resource Fair (BAEER Fair) and is also in the process of
creating a series of signboards to reflect the state of recycling
in California today.
Introduction
to Recycling: All the Basics: Terms, Concepts, Equipment, and
Resources. This three day workshop trains people who would like a
quick overview of recycling by presenting an inexpensive three-day
course at a
convenient location. The course is designed for newcomers to the
recycling field and is an ideal orientation for many individuals
such as: entry-level program assistants, interns, professionals
from other fields, members of local advisory committees, city council
members and staff, members of the board of supervisors, activists,
solid waste handlers, recycling facility employees, commercial and
industrial facility recycling program managers and staff.
Recycling
Update: Get from out-of-touch
to up-to-date in one day as Northern California Recycling Association's
Recycling Update presents over 25 knowledgeable people who take
10 minutes each to tell what's happening and what works in the world
of resource recovery.
